FC Ararat Yerevan, is an Armenian football club, based in Yerevan. Currently, the club plays in the Armenian Premier League and is one of the most popular teams in Armenian football. Ararat was founded in 1935. It was called Spartak from 1935 to 1937 and from 1954 to 1962, and Dynamo from 1938 to 1953. In 1963, the club was renamed Ararat, the current name in use by the club.
